Lipids and coumarin extraction from cumaru seeds (Dipteryx odorata) using sequential supercritical CO2+solvent and pressurized ethanol

Lipids and coumarin were extracted from cumaru seeds using Soxhlet extraction (SE) with ethanol (EtOH) ethyl acetate (EtOAc), scCO 2 , +EtOH +EtOAc, either in a single or sequential stages, PLE EtOH. ScCO +EtOAc provided yields 28% to 31%, independently of the conditions employed, provide top yield 38%, at 25 MPa 80 ºC. Extraction enhanced by three extractions, resulting 44.0% 56.5% for +EtOH, respectively, where these values superior those obtained SE. This work also reported kinetics +cosolvents, case content was 30 mg g −1 extract. Finally, crystals seemed be affected cosolvent nature, as indicated higher antioxidant activity coumarin-rich extracts rather than +EtOH. • efficiently seeds. High rates +cosolvents stages.
